Geoff Mead Shoots 65 to Lead 'Bits to 4th at ICs

GREELEY, Colo. – South Dakota State sophomore Geoff Mead shot a final round 65 for the low round of the Independent Championships on Sunday at Pelican Lakes Golf and Country Club in Greeley, Colo., propelling himself from a 35th place tie to an eighth place finish and the Jackrabbits from sixth to fourth as team.

Mead’s 65 also marks the lowest score by any SDSU golfer since moving to Division I, topping teammate Trent Peterson, who carded a 68 in last year’s final round of the Independent Championships.

I heard he had 150 yards in on his 2nd shot on a 521 yard par 5???
