Pretty impressive summer for incoming Jackrabbits, current Jackrabbits and former Jackrabbit Morgan Fitts! This after a Jackrabbit Mens/Womens sweep in the SDGA's Match-Play Tournament back in July.

The second round of three is complete in the Summit League Championships. The men are not playing well and are in 6th place. They are 25 strokes behind IUPUI (592-617), so it is very unlikely they can win the tourney. The best chance right now is to move into third with a good round, as they are only 8 strokes from third place IPFW. One of the Jacks, Dylan Baker, had to withdraw so the four remaining all have to do well. IUPUI and Denver are competing for the title.

As for the women, DU is in complete control, however the Jacks, currently 4th, can get to second with a good round, as they are only 7 strokes out of second (IUPUI).

This is big news here for SDSU Women's golf. This is honestly equivalent of getting one of the Rieff brothers (also from Parkston) to stay home and play football at SDSU. Sydney could have went wherever she wanted and we are lucky she choose to stay close to home. Congrats to new coach Casey VanDamme on this one.

Great comeback. 4th after day one, tied for 3rd after day two, and 2nd after day 3. This also wraps up the SDCornshowdown as SDSU leads 11-6 with four points to be determined. (Does;t include the academic points but they are basically a given for both schools.)

Congrats also to Hallie Getz and Megan Mingo who were both selected to first time Summit League (both are juniors)

Congrats to the women's team as well. Mingo's 70 the final day was the best score that day by 3 strokes. The women's team is losing two seniors but will still be strong next year as they have Mingo and Getz both coming back.

Reese Jansa has announced that she's transferring to SDSU from the University of Toledo to continue her golf journey. That's pretty cool. She won a lot of state golf titles in high school at Harrisburg and recently was named South Dakota's Independent Female Athlete of the Year.
