The 6'4/215 Devlin is Pennsylvania HS all-time leader in yardage, which is no small feat. Guy replaced the Penn State started and led them in a drive that beat Ohio State. But he is now a senior and the once very highly touted QB is just okay.

Time will tell- all of these QBs at this level are very good and will pick defenses apart if there isn't any pressure put on them. That will be one of the early keys in this game.

Not a really big deal, but Ryan McKnight will be in a walking boot for the next four weeks after a minor injury during summer activities. Let the offensive line critics come out with how we have no depth up front

McKnight is one tough guy...he'll be fine.

We are going to turn some heads and make a BIG statement when we beat the Blue Hens on the road!
I think we're getting a feeling that we BELONG at this level. Not just FCS Football but D1 athletics as a whole. We have had success in every athletic program. Men's bball is the exception but there is very good reason for optimism and the schools we have beat already, even in our down years, has been impressive...if even "mildly". SDSU fball is already very respected in the FCS and the bloom is not yet off the rose. Putting on my shades!

Bingo. My thoughts indeed. Punt returns are no doubt going to this guy. Like others have said, just get him the ball! Undersized yes, but I am real excited to see what he can do this year...especially w/ Cochart and Minnet taking pressure off him. Can you imagine if TOB and even another reciever step up?

You wouldn't show the same confidence or cockiness? We're a good team. Probably a better team on paper than UD. We have confidence, yes. But there are also alot of posts on here complimenting your fine program. I have yet to see anyone on here predict we waltz into your place and coast to an easy win. Not gonna happen. UD is a tough, tough road game, true. But tough road games, not to mention road success, are no strangers to the Jacks.

I think our depth for our kickoff/punt returners is excellent. A number of guy can carry the load.. Brodie, Kool, Tiefenthaler the front runners IMO Our Wr's are going to surprise people. Rollins, Kool, Gant and Tiefenthaler leading the way IMO Go Jacks

I keep forgetting about the semi-pro WR we pick up a couple months ago, Will Conklin.

I would throw him in that KR & PR battle. I imagine him filling the role of someone like Saunders Montague.

I am real interested to see what Will can do. San Diego State, Florida Atlantic and Cal Poly, among others, also showed interest in him.

He has returned kicks before....heck, he's even an okay kicker and pretty good punter!

He played at Traverse City West (Mi) and was a First Team selection by the Detroit Free Press his senior season. He went on to DeAnza Junior College in San Jose CA. He was hurt and came home to play for Traverse City in the North American Football League last year. The NAFL doesn't pay their players, keeping them eligible to play in college. He led the team w/ 23 recepts for 667 yards and 3 TD's and also handled kicking and punting duties.

Tiefanthaler will be interesting but I think Kool is the easy favorite right now. I think the staff wants to get him the ball as much as possible. Could be a real good returner.

I looked through the 2010 Media Guide and did not see Dustin Lotzer, Sisseton, on the list. What happened to him?

I hear Lotzer will not not be playing this fall but do not know the complete reason. I do not see Pat Brown on the roster either and he would have been a redshirt freshman this year at DB

TV mentioned on his online chat the other day that Dustin may not be back. TV did not cite a reason. Bummer.

Thanks, Speedrabbit and JackedUp. Lotzer is a very athletic kid...I wish him well.
