Congrats to Danny. It was nice to see the Bills traded up to get him. That means they really wanted him.

How exciting for Jackrabbit fans, it's always fun to follow another NFL team that may not be your favorite, but one that has a Rabbit on it. I am hopeful for Danny's future, I know he will take FULL advantage of it.

Corey Chavous really knows his stuff. I watched both the NFL network and the ESPN draft coverage and I thought the NFL network stuff blew away ESPN. Boomer was horrible, Gruden & Kiper kept fighting and being snarky because Gruden loves everybody and Kiper hates everybody.

Watching the Bills press conference, Chan Gailey says that Danny will be playing Outside Linebacker.

Says he is tough, hard-nose who plays the game the right way. Likes his versatility. Loved his attitude towards playing special teams. Said he dominated at his level and jumped off the tape when watching.

The local paper (Journal Sentinal) had a blurb on their draft blog or something like that which stated the Packers were going to pick him if the Bills hadn't grabbed him at that pick. How's that for a piece of maybe information that may or may not be true that really doesn't matter anymore? A local judge I was recently in front of told me he saw the blurb and knew I was from SD. I was quick to point out that SDSU had just as many players drafted this year as did the Wisconsin Badgers.

I know the Cowboys had him rated as the 3rd best 5th round pick. When they picked in the 6th round with the first pick, Danny was the highest rated player on their board, but the next highest was an OT and that was a position of need, so they picked the OT from Notre Dame.

According to TV's twitter page: Former SDSU star and sixth-round pick Danny Batten has signed a multi-year deal with the Buffalo Bills. Terms were not disclosed.
