  • Hofstra

Terry V mentioned in his Tuesday Tidbits that SDSU is looking at adding an O-Lineman from the now defunct Hofstra football program.

    http://www.argusleader.com/apps/pbcs...Id=personaDest

According to this link, most of the O-Lineman from Hofstra have already found homes. The ones left are:

SR - OT Brian Frederick 6'4" 276 - Dracut, MA
    - Started for 2 years

SR - OG Armond Poole 6'2" 285 - Grayson, GA
    - Started for 2 years

JR - OL Kevin Brown 6'2" 282 - Brooklyn, NY
    - Was a Blue-Chip DT prospect with an offer from Rutgers and interest from alot of big hitters in the FBS. Supposedly is choosing between E. Kentucky or Fordham.

These are the 3 O-Lineman left from Hofstra , but it could be a player who is switching schools from the one they previously chose.

    Re: Hofstra

Well I guess this tweet from www.twitter.com/hartleyshuddle answers who the player is.

Met Hofstra's Armand Poole this weekend at the scrimmage. Very nice kid who the coaches feel could make an impact right away
Also from Hartley's Huddle, here's a video of Poole.

If he joins the team he will add much needed depth and experience at the OL.

Just looking at the names, and where from, the GA one caught my eye. Grayson is in the east area of the ATL metro area, about the same area that Jacks other GA player is from. Makes sense that these two HS teammates/conference rivals would potentially reconnect at a successful MVFC school.

That's a good point. Current SDSU TE Kyle Sheehan has Grayson, Georgia listed as his high school and that appears to be the same school that Armand is from. Dacula, GA (Where Cole Brodie is from) also looks to be very close by.

Kinda surprised that Northeastern FB players haven't found their way to the Dakota schools, since Northeastern was coached by ex-NDSU coach Rocky

You would think that Rocky would have put a bug in his old NCC Rivals ears about his players.
