yes, this was the point... Your starters return, ours don't .... better potential shot for a freshman RB. You would acknoweldge this was a good get for us, right?

It will be interesting to what side of the ball he is tried on. On his video,he has greats skills on both offense and defense

I think he will probably be at CB. Scout.com rated him the 4th best CB in Arizona before the season started and I think CB is probably a need for us.

They must have updated the verbal just now, because when I looked it just showed the offer. This is a big get for us. He did in fact have an offer from San Diego State. The article from scout on 6/20/10 says they offered him then. It also mentioned he was hurt all during his junior season which can hurt a player in the recruiting process. I think we may have got a very good player here.

He took a visit this weekend and was offered. Also Travis Seefeldt, Donovan Henley 5'10 165 4.4 40 CB from Glendale JC visited and has an offer now, David Godley 6'0 185 CB also from Glendale JC visited and has an offer, RB PJ Sparks 5'9 190 from Mountain Ridge HS in Arizona visited and now has an offer

Henley went to the same high school as Butler, he has offers from Idaho State and Nebraska-Omaha.

PJ Sparks father was an NFL Cornerback for the Giants, Phillippi Sparks, and his sister is American Idol winner Jordin Sparks.

Butler is another great recruit for the SDSU staff at a position that is one of our toughest to recruit.

umm...considering the fact we have Mcnorton ('08), Sigers ('09), Voigtlander (08'), Ojuri** ('09), Crockett ('10), and Jones** ('11) as RB's I would think this is very accurate.

Also in 2010 we signed MIcheal Allen** and I am unsure if he still plans to join the team

We are Loaded at RB so Reggie is much better off at SDSU where you just lost your Premier back and thats awesome he picked SDSU over UNI

Another site said he had an offer from Wyoming too at one point. Good job by the coaching staff.

I think so. His rivals star rating is 2 stars at 5.4 which I believe is very close to 3 stars as Derek Farniok from Sioux Falls is a 5.6 and 3 stars.

This has to be a good get. The first link I saw was an Ohio State fan site discussing him and that they might offer early. He must have fell HARD! San Diego State also offered but I'm wondering if its a mistake with the other SDSU. However, on that Buckeye website they were talking about San Diego State.

Me wonders if we were on this kid early and it paid off.

SDSU landed its first known preferred walk-on of the season yesterday: safety Drew Kreutzfeldt, a two-time Elite 45 pick from Chester.

Let's hope that Drew turns out like another preferred walk-on safety from South Dakota, Conrad Kjerstad.

His twin brother accepted an offer from Northern State earlier in the week.
