Re: Pay for Coaches
This is just like everything else. South Dakota has the lowest(or near lowest) salaries for most jobs. We hear every year about how the teachers are underpaid. I agree but so are the janitors, professors, receptionists, cops, coaches, etc...
If no other state employees get a raise, the coaches shouldn't either. How do you decide if the teachers or coaches are more important than any other state employee?
Don't take this as a jab at teachers. Their job is important. I just know they are paid comparable with other jobs between SD and other states.
