Hope to see Jacks crack top 10, but likely to stay # 11/12. Only way Jacks jump up is if Elon tanks against Samford, or UNI collapses

Tell you what, Cap'n Cat is nervous about that ILSU game. I'm going there and I'll be on the sidelines. In my post-playing days ('86 to present), UNI has NEVER lost when Cap'n Cat is on the sidelines at a road game. Went to New Hampy in '05, we won. Went to Texas State, we won. Then, for Chatty, I was told that the NCAA clamps down on the number of sideline passes for each team and I was left out in the cold, cold bleachers. We lost. Lesson there!!!

Most of us are at work and actually working at this time, so the traffic isn't too congested at 2:30pm on a Wednesday. We need more fans such as myself, who is career college student, to pump out some useless dribble during these down times!

Big game. I think it will be a tougher game than score comparisons might suggest. Any injuries lingering from the Minnesota game, other than DT Brian Fischer?

IS SDSU THE MOST PRECIDTABLE TEAM IN THE MVC? PLEASE MEADOWS OPEN THE PLAYBOOK: This game will be a victory and will allow TOB to get any confidence back that he may have lost. Hopefully meadows will finally open up the playbook. Both Craw and TOB have been screwed by the play calling. Craw got a raw deal against southern and TOB was allowed limited options vs Minnesota in the first half. Could both of them have palyed better and certain times? Of course, but let play and stop being so predictable. But the this has happened al year really. Furthemore, Minnett and the RB Crew could have a few more yards this season if was given the chance run something else then up the middle every 9 out 10 plays. We have plenty of tools, so let's use them. Big tight end too- let's get him some touches as well and may get fox one on one. Just some thoughts.

That's a good, solid story in the Journal. It's nice to see that the Jacks are commanding some attention in the Rapid City area

I think they have done better with this at least from what I saw against Minnesota. Especially on the 3rd and short.

No sign of the game, as of now, on channelsurfing.net. Any chance it could be added to the lineup at the last minute?

Yes....and even during the game it could be added.

                              Pre-game article from the Argus:

It's now or never for favored Jacks
                              Terry Vandrovec - November 21, 2009

MACOMB, Ill. - The third time had better be the charm.

After failing to do so in each of the past two weeks, South Dakota State will again try to gain an eighth win of the season that would likely lock up a berth in the Football Championship Subdivision playoffs and thus end the school's 30-year postseason drought.

And Western Illinois, in contrast to Southern Illinois and Minnesota, doesn't carry a No. 1 ranking or bowl-eligible status. Not by a long shot.

The Leathernecks (1-9, 0-8) have dropped nine in a row and are winless in the Missouri Valley Football Conference, even falling to an Indiana State squad that had lost 33 consecutive games. During that skid, they also lost their longtime head coach, Don Patterson, due to health issues and standout quarterback Matt Barr due to injury. They need a win today to avoid their worst record since 1966, and won't get much help from the crowd because school is already out for Thanksgiving.

In other words, if the Jacks (7-3, 6-1) don't win their regular-season finale, they don't deserve to be in the field of 16.
"This is pretty much a playoff game for us," SDSU senior linebacker Chris Johnson said. "We're going into this game thinking we have to win. If we do that, hopefully everything works out with the playoffs."
