Re: Liberty Mutual Coach of the Year Voting

C'mon SDSUFans, this one should be a piece of cake compared to the Rabbit! If everybody jumps in and casts a vote each day, we should be able to overtake the leaders. GO FANS!

I'll admit I'm another one that passes on voting on the "popularity" contests and marketing tools.

Not to discourage anyone from voting...

        Bump

Sure, it's a popularity contest. But it's also an opportunity to get Coach Stig noticed. And I'm sure many people here would agree he deserves the notoriety. It's also an opportunity to demonstrate that SDSU has a tremendous fan base.

Stig's just 100 votes down now, so keep voting.
        Holy nutmeg!

I'm with you. I don't get it. Feel the same way about stuffing baseball all-star ballots. Why don't they have FCS Coaches vote and declare a winner based on that format.

Over? Did you say "over"? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!--Bluto--

I understand your feeling and the wish that it would be done differently. But it is what it is, and when it is our coach and he has a chance to be recognized nationally, it would seem to me if you feel he is just as worthy as the other nominated coaches, that a vote a day isn't too much to ask. Of course, if someone doesn't believe he should get the recognition, then I can understand foregoing voting, or voting for somebody else.

Re: Liberty Mutual Coach of the Year Voting

I understand that these things don't mean very much in the grand scheme, but if a few hundred or a few thousand people who go to that site see "John Stiegelmeier - South Dakota State" at the top of that leaderboard I hope it in some tiny way helps raise awareness of our fine University across the region and the country.

Again I know it isn't much but any miniscule step that may one day help more people realize there is a difference between South Dakota State and South Dakota. Maybe we can even eventually stop San Diego State from getting our top 25 votes in basketball.

I don't think this has been mentioned before, but another great reason to vote.
