Chase Douglas out...

There was talk about Douglas playing right away on the d-line. The coaches wanted it but left it up to Chase. A torn ACL and strained PCL due to Simote Moala falling on him have Douglas out 8 weeks.

Oddly enough, Simote Moala looks like a kid who can, at the very least, provide some depth this year.

Thats too bad for Chase. Hopefully he can get healed up and get his legs back under him. He could be a special player. Will he redshirt this year then?

Like I said, they had left it up to him but it sounded like the coaches wanted him to play (and he did as well, at least before camp started). Being out 8 weeks makes it a no-brainer to redshirt.

Really to bad for Chase, I think he has the potential to be really good.
