The Hawkeyes also finally offered and recieved a commitment from Tanner Miller who also had an offer from the jacks. I think he was committed to UNI before today.

It will be interesting to see if we landed a CB and a Safety tomorrow. Those are the two positions that we had targeted some good players but they committed elsewhere.

I'd like to see a cornerback or two, also. Regardless of whether it's on signing day or a few weeks further into the recruiting period. A DB or two would round out the recruiting class nicely. Signing day will be entertaining and interesting.

The pasted link is from a Husker fan board that says Gdowski is walking on at Nebraska. First post to make that claim is listed as 4 days ago, another says 18 hours ago. I hope this is a case of we have the latest information, but it doesn't look good.

Arizona CB Avery Boykin is scheduled to visit SDSU on Feb 13 even though he has committed to Army. Terry V said that his coach debunked this reported rumor saying that Boykin has committed to Army, but I have a feeling the coach might be wrong and that he'll be visiting in a couple weeks.

I don't think players go through the normal process of signing a LOI for service academies. The service acadamies don't officially release a signing list due to their appointment process. So it is possible for players that have committed to them to continue to look elsewhere until I believe the summer when they have to register.

Terry said he talked to his HS coach denies the report and says he has already signed his LOT.... I don't know much bout this guy ESPN has him running a 4.85 40.... which doesn't seem right....

What is the deal with NDSU's recruit Michael Allen? I'd post this up on Bisonville but they are so delusional they think he is still going there even though his Scout profile list NDSU as low level (and Arizona has a good scout site unlike other states).... I've heard his dad died so he wants to stay closer to home, I heard he either didn't qualify or wants to go D-I so he is going JuCo, and I heard some other things too.... NDSU will be livid if they don't get this guy....

NDSU won't be livid, they will pass it off as "we didn't need him" and "he's not that good anyway". When there were questions about WR Vraa going to UNI instead of NDSU a bunch of posters were already saying "No big loss".

To be truthful though, I don't think it affects them that much. They already signed two other RB's for that class, although I think one has academic issues.

Our local sports guy Steve Hallstrom has a pretty good contact with Allen and talked with either him or his coach on signing day. He is going through a tough time and he wants to take care of some things at home before making any commitment. I think he really told Hallstrom a lot because Hallstrom said he probably he knows too much of what is going on with Allen's life. He is going to visit NDSU in the near future.

All Bohl could say is that it is an interesting story and NDSU is still recruiting him.

OK.... I had read some blogs from Arizona and had heard all kinds of things and rather then mention it up on bisonville and have it turn into a whos recruiting class is better argument I thought I could get a better answer by posting on here.

TV reported on the basketball blog last night when posed with a recruiting questions that as many as 3 preps and 1 juco will be in town next weekend. Guessing primarily Defensive backs. Should be a nice enviroment if they are at the basketball games.
