These players were added to list, most of them before 09 season even started, because they mentioned having interest from SDSU. I'm sure SDSU gave them a look because they give pretty much every athlete in the area a look, but it's not like they were actively pursuing them.

All besides Crawford, who is a JUCO CB from Calli that we had in for a visit. He ended up signing with Portland St out of the Big Sky.
Heard the Jacks did some 40 yard dash testing this past week? Does anyone know some of the official times etc-Would be nice to know what kind of speed we have for next season.

I took Murphy off the list. So far the list of schools that have beat SDSU on one of our offered players are: Illinois, Minnesota, Air Force, Iowa St, and 1 to NDSU.

Hopefully we land the other CB out of Arizona, RJ McGill. He took an official visit to UND this weekend.

I guess it's not that surprising, both him and Murphy left with offers but neither committed right away. I was hoping that McGill was just doing his due diligence and finishing off his scheduled visits. I wonder if it mattered that SDSU wanted him at CB and I noticed in the Grand Forks paper they called him a WR, maybe he wanted to play offense and not defense or maybe it just wasn't a good fit at SDSU. Good luck to him.

Wasn't the McGill kid a running back in high school rather than a WR?

Yeah, but I noticed he had some good receiving stats as well.

Seems to me he wanted to play offense, and he wasn't going to do so at SDSU... or maybe he just wanted to play with a roof over his head (he is from Arizona after all). Too bad he didn't end up in Brookings, but if he only halfheartedly wanted to play defense it is probably best for both parties in the long run.
If you think nobody cares about you, try missing a couple of payments.

DT Andy Gdowski, 6'3" 235lbs, Grand Island, Nebraska

I've seen this kid play and he is a physical beast in the trenches. I officiated a couple of his games prior to his senior year and he manhandled his opponents. His brother Jake is a 305 lb. offensive lineman for Colorado State and is considered the strongest player for the Rams.

As listed on the Rivals page, he is very interested in playing for the Huskers, but according to the HuskerBoard he is only being considered as a walk-on. Andy was 2nd Team Super State in Nebraska his senior year as a defensive tackle. Give this kid some time to fill out and I could see him as a 300 lb. load in the middle of the defense.

At 6'2" 250, I wonder if they plan on Di-Jon moving inside to DT. This is a great addition to the recruiting class, I hope that it is accurate as Starr is one of the best players in the Minneapolis Metro. I saw in the article that it listed Vraa as going to UNI so there is a chance that the article is inaccurate.

Nice, Long article about Di-Jon. Helped Blaine reach the championship game in Minnesota's highest class as a Junior.

                          Kare 11 all defensive team.
This article says he is 6-2, 270 and was voted Most Valuable Defensive player in the NW suburban conference.

DiJonn is also a very good in the shot-put and discus. He reminds me alot of Chase Douglass and Antonio Thompson.

If nothing else this recruiting class is chock full of classic football-type names. Di Jon Starr is a great name for a pass-rushing DE.

Hey, Gopherhole, is he related to Gerry Gdowski, the Huskers starting QB from the late 80's? If he is, it could be hard to turn down any type of offer from the Huskers, including walk-on status.
