As Terry reported on his blog Cedric Provost 6'1 185 DB from Moreno Valley Ca is joining the Jacks. From the film would be fun to see this guy play some offensive.

Not much info though. Terry V wrote that he runs the 100 in 10.53

        TV posts this this morning:
"One of the offensive lineman that SDSU purportedly is considering as a late addition played at Hofstra last fall. The FCS school has dropped its football program since the end of the 2009 season. That means players who wind up at other places will not have to sit out a year."

So the Hofstra speculation wasn't so wild. Wonder if they have any basketball players, say around 6-10, 245, who are transferring out?

A speedy receiver with experience. Seems like a very good addition. Now let's get another o-lineman or two.

Some state track numbers for our 2010 class.

Walk-on DB Matt Korus of Nebraska finished 3rd in 400 at 51.8. He also placed third in the 400 relay.

OL Nick Purcell from Rapid City placed 4th in the Discus with a 142'7" and 2nd in the Shot Put with a 55'01".

DL Dijon Star from Blaine, MN placed 1st in Shot Put with a 60'8" throw and 1st in Discus at 173'8".

Walk-on RB Brad Tunge of Marion, SD pulled his hamstring in the 100 at state but had a season best time of 10.71 in the event earlier in the year. He also had the fastest time in his class in the 200 and 5th fastest in the 400.

WR Dom Wright of Missouri ran a 21.79 in the 200 and finished 2nd place in 2009. He must have gotten injured in 2010 because he only ran in a few early races with his best time at 22.42.

Feel free to add to the list if know of anyone else.

When you peruse again the list of players we got in February and then add the other 4 players who committed late you have to be optimistic about the future of Jacks football. Of course you never know who will actually see the field down the road.

                http://www.gojacks.com/ViewArticle.d...CLID=204880169

                Daryl Jackson 5'10 180 DB
                Ramel Crenshaw 5'10 157 CB
                Cedric Provost 6'1 185 DB
                Will Conklin 5'11 175 WR

Maybe we should go after some USC's players (being somewhat sarcastic).
*Edit they can transfer to other FBS schools and not have to sit out (not sure about FCS schools).
