Macklin could be arguably the best WR to ever play at SDSU....statistically no! but we ran a wishbone offense back then...unbelievable hands(average speed)...It would've been interesting to see him play in a spread offense

I remember watching Macklin when I was kid. He made a remarkable catch against Augustana at Howard Wood one day that's still etched in my mind.

I also recall that catch. I also remember several of the DB's like Dan Dummermuth wearing the bandannas!

Now there's a blast from the past! I was maybe 11 or 12 years old at the time and I sure remember the bandanas. I think Gary Maffett wore one as well.
