        Kirby Morsching and Mike Robinson, pitchers on the SDSU baseball team, are from Rapid City, too.

              Tyler Merriam is from Pierre, not Rapid. Well he is in the process of moving there, but originally from Pierre.

                John Dutton, DE who played for the Cornhuskers and in the NFL for 14 years.
                Also, pro baseball players Mark Ellis, Dave Collins and Dick Green. And Randy Lewis, Olympic gold medal wrestler.

                      S Conrad Kjerstad and DE Joe Kennedy are two current players on the football team from out west. Both are from Wall.

                              Zach Carter football, All the track athletes they have in Rapid City, the wrestlers in Sturgis. Paulson's, Matt Martin, Lance Luitjens, Gal played basketball at K-State.

                              Great opprotunity to showcase SDSU and keep some that may consider Montana or Wyoming. I think rapid feels alot of the time like they are not in South Dakota, just looking where their athletes go and play.

                              East side of the state shows them little respect!

                                I agree with you on this. Alot of times it seems like Eastern South Dakota State University in regard to athletics. Chadron State and Black Hills State get more coverage in Rapid City than do SDSU.

                                I really hope this spring game out west gets alot more statewide support for the Jacks.

                                Is it going to be played at the School of Mines field?
