College Sporting News' year end review of the MVFC by Kent Schmidt is an interesting read.
"The Missouri Valley Football Conference not only changed their name before this 2008 season (was the Gateway Football Conference) but also added two teams to become a nine-school league. And those two new schools finished third and fourth respectively in the standings. South Dakota State and North Dakota State proved that they were worthy of their new league but, at least in the case of NDSU, proved that a new team has some things to learn."
It also has all conference selections.
