Another one...and sounds great!!! Bryan Witzmann, an offensive lineman from Somerset, Wis., said Thursday that he has made a verbal commitment to play football for South Dakota State. The 6-foot-8, 255-pound senior was a first-team all-state pick by the Wisconsin Coaches Association, an honor that incorporates all classes. Witzmann said that he also had scholarship offers from Northern Iowa and the University of South Dakota. . . . (from today's Argus Leader).

I agree with earlier posts...we are getting some very highly rated commits!

Gotta give credit to the coaching staff for putting together a good class so far! Hopefully they have a few more solid players for us to finish off the year.

We can take Ben Gardner off the list. The story is right below the one about Witzmann on wissports.net

“I have narrowed my choices down to North Dakota, Northern Iowa, Montana and Cornell,” Gardner said.

Anyone know how many more scholarships we have left? Also what positions we still trying to bring in other than another QB?

he probably wouldn't of played much anyways...

We return the main backs of
                          Minnett
                          Duffy
                          Monke
                          I'm missing one
and then we add Tyrel Kool....

I think looking at next year it will depend on 3 things

                          QB play
                          DB play
and how good the O-Line is...

If the O-Line is powerful and we can run the ball a lot and slowly work in the QB (the 2 that we have are red-shirt freshman)... it will be a big help....

I agree with the QB and Oline. The o line needs to be able to pass block much better and get the run game going to help take pressure off the new QB. We need to get the ball to Minnett as much as possible in both the running game and passing game. I'm also kind of worried about the interior defensive line. Replacing Schroder will be hard and we need more depth to be able to rotate guys in.

This is kinda sad news to hear for me personally cause I work with Stefan this summer and he was a real good kid. Not unexpected though, as he had been slowed by injuries and got behind a lot of good backs on the depth chart. Hopefully he is successful at St. Cloud.
