I think 5 games is enough to look at some trends the team is having. There is a big difference in turnovers between home and away games.
The home games have very few turnovers.
Youngstown State- SDSU lost 1 fumble in the whole game.
Western Illinois- SDSU threw 1 interception and turned it over once on downs.
That's 3 turnovers in 2 games.
The next 2 games SDSU will have to keep this up if they are going to win both.
The road games are a different story. SDSU is averaging 5 turnovers/game.
Iowa State- SDSU threw 5 interceptions and lost 1 fumble.
Northern Iowa- SDSU had 1 turnover in all 3 categories(interception, fumble and downs).
Stephan F. Austin- SDSU had 2 interceptions, 3 fumbles and lost the ball on downs 1 time.
You can't turn the ball over and win very many games.
I know most of the 4th down tries are 4th and 5 from the 35 yard line. If you don't feel comfortable kicking it from 50+ yards, you don't have much of a choice.
