Some interesting picks this week. By a 20 to 17 margin, UNI is predicted to go into Carbondale and knock off SIU in what is the only game in the MVC conference race this week. Another interesting pick is that Liberty got very little love from the participants even though they are ranked 25th in one poll whereas Youngstown is ranked 23 in the other poll. None of us know what to expect of Youngstown after thier first two conference games.
Just a note for next week. The UNI game next week is Thursday night game so I will need your picks early. I will post the games later today or tomorrow.
SDSU… SEMO… Lib….. UNI….. UCD….. SUU….. Woff… PSU….. Total Pt.
SFA….. InSU…. YSU….. SIU….. NEU….. TSU….. GSU….. SSt….. Difference
What a week for the Jacks. And the prediction competiton was interesting also. Five of the 8 games were decided by 3 points or less. No one picked more than 5 of the games correctly this week. Of those who did, CatchEmAll was closest at 87 (Everybody was over again this week). CatchEnAll send your address etc. to MilwaukeeJacksAlum to get you t-shirt. For the year Rabidrabbit leads with 79%.
How can we go by winning percentage for the overall leader?? That makes no sense.. Can someone show up for one of the twelve weeks, go 9 for 10 and win the whole thing???
The ranking need to be populated by TOTAL NUMBER CORRECT... Give those who pick every week some respect!

I understand your comment and have thought about how to handle that several times. The "winner" is based on just the current week and that is the basis for my first sort of the spreadsheet. I think we want to keep it that way for the weekly winner. Perhaps the second sort should be on the total number of correct picks for the year. Of the 8 people who tied for best picks of the week last week, I think all but 1 have picked every week so far. We have ranged from 37-40 participants per week. I think 32 people have participated every week with a couple more that have participated all but one week. There were 2-3 that participated the first week and haven't been back and 5 or so that have started since the first week.
I would welcome input from all of you on how to pick the year's winner at the end, highest percentage or largest number of accurate picks? I certainly agree that someone who only picks a couple of times shouldn't be the years winner. In fact the first week of picks was by far the easiest and a couple of people who picked that week and haven't participated since would be leading for the year but I have already dropped them from the reported list for not being acitve. At this point, I am only listing people who have participated within the last two weeks.
Good call.. I wasn't trying to make my post sound like a complaint!! After I went back and read it again, I sounded like a little whiner!
I think a periodic "OVERALL SORT" with the highest number picked correctly would be AWESOME!!! It doesn't have to be a weekly thing, but it would sure be nice to see who has guessed the most games correctly!

IMHO - I'd suggest the same rules used at AGS for voters in their poll. Can't miss picking for more than two weeks total all season, then use the % of those picks to determine winner.
