I think the bottom line I'm taking away from this game is: if we cut down on the turnovers, we'll be a pretty good football team.

The turnovers have absolutely killed us tonight--and most of them have been basically unforced. Fix that and we'll be OK.

They are throwing solely at Adam Fritz right now. Same thing UNI did last year. I hope there is some more depth to back this kid up over there.

That's what I've been trying to eek out of this filbert without coming off like too much of a homer. That is why I also think Berry just can't be yanked at this point. Next week means so much more than this week. I think, considering the current situation, there are a lot of bright spots on this team when it comes to playing FCS competition.

Had to leave Applebees' hospitality and the game on TV...too tough to watch.
Home now, listening to WNAX for the final 10 minutes.

Interceptions just killed us.

Its a double edged sword now. Last drive the defense was very aggressive and they ran some misdirection and screens and moved the ball well. This time they sat back some more and they give up a field goal. I think now its about learning how the defensive calls play out and trying some different things out there.

Special teams as a whole have gotten some work.

Last kickoff they just kicked away from Cole Brodie. Might be a good sign.

I would agree totally, plus we don't have to worry about the Huskers, Missouri, K State and a bunch of others this season. I think we were over matched especially in speed at certain positions.

The first game can be a disaster no matter who you play. I think our coaching staff will have a number of things to correct between now and Sept 6.
