Well, what I actually meant was, "Stu Whitney is incapable of writing a gracious article about a certain school--seeing how he takes pride in certain personality traits that others would work hard to overcome.

Nothing wrong with that statement, seeing as it has described the progress on the Dykhouse Center for a good chunk of construction.

Dykhouse Center was expected to be completed this fall. First day of winter doe not start until Dec 21st. So, there is still officially about 9 weeks of fall remaining. But, I agree the construction has been lengthy. But, you cannot agree with anything Stu writes - its principle! Its very, very difficult for Stu to write anything positive about SDSU. It must have really hurt for him to say it was a " big time atmosphere ".

I think the Dykhouse Center timeline is one area the Athletic Dept. kind of screwed up. When they come out and say that it will be done in the fall, most people think of leaves turning, frost on the ground, and pheasant hunting. If the date on the contract is late November/December, they should have said it would be done by Christmas.

By saying it will be done in the fall, it gives the impression the project is behind schedule and somebody isn't doing their job, when in fact it is progressing about according to schedule.

Of course, they could have had their reasons for creating the perception it would be completed sooner, like fundraising, etc.

Actually SFR I think the intent was to have it done by this fall football season. My comment about fall lasting until mid Dec was just a dig at the everlasting construction. If I heard correctly there was some ownership change with the construction company that really slowed progress down mid stream.

I honestly don't believe there was any effort to deceive anyone on this project. Sorry about any misleading comments from me.

We will all be very happy when this project is completed.

If we're going to be happy, can you imagine how happy the team will be?
