  • Salem’s 2025 Spring Game Summary

    Chase looked solid

Jack Henry should be QB3 and in the running to be the starter next year.

Nate White is explosive, Begeman brings the boom.

    O Line Stuggled.

Sammy Drezie and Jack Smith are a young combo that are going to be fun to watch for years to come.

TE transfer Thompson got a lot of work.

Starting DEs looked incredible. Kirshman looks like a NFL edge.

DTs lack size, but make it up with technique.

LBs looked very good. Tackled well. Especially Bryce Johnson.

    DBs looked good.

    Kickers were bad.

    Vibes were up.

Crowd was massive. Standing room only.

Maybe I’ll buy a few more season tickets.

They posted a video from practice of pass rushers a couple of weeks ago and had to look up who # 8 was. Didn't realize that Kirschenman had changed numbers, but he looked really good. Hopefully the O line will improve when Christensen gets back.

And perhaps the transfer from SFA as well?

McShane was another LB who had multiple stops.

What is the story with McShane? Didn't he drop off the roster late season? Or am I misremembering something and am way out in left field? Whatever the case, he was solid behind Bock. I'm glad he's with the team and look for big things from him next year.

Yes, both him and Myles Taylor left the team last fall due to disagreements with the prior staff. Coach Jackson let them rejoin the team after meeting with them.

Last year, GoJacks had a summary of the Spring game with scores, players names etc. as if it was an actual game that counted. Wonder why that was not done this year? Maybe that has been talked about and I missed it!!

Could its absence this year be caused by the likelihood that many of the principal players in the fall may not yet be a part of the team; that they will be joining from the transfer portal; that they were unknown to the fans, with some unknown even to the coaches? Could it be that the players in the spring game do not truly comprise the team that will be playing in the fall, and are, therefore, figuratively separated from it.
