Jacks are clicking. That was impressive. That offense is as good as you’ll see in the FCS and the defense dominated them. The old cliche defense wins championships….

Well, lets keep it rolling through Fargo, because that's where we're going since Wercer can't put up a fight against the cows.

I had a feeling it was going to be a great game when Section 120's playoff "Punt Team!...Assemble" dude started once UIW had their first 2nd down play

At the game it was hard to see how UIW was going to win. The Hogs were having their way. The D was playing well. It looked like State could've called running plays every down and won this game.

MSU board has an entire thread talking about our attendance. Good to see we live rent free in their heads. Attendance is significantly better than it was five years ago, plus the fans that attend are great. If we had a more storied history maybe there’d be more support but it is what it is.

I was thinking after the game how cool it was to have Jacks fans around me exchanging high fives when the Jacks made great plays. I would've loved to at least maintain 10k from the 2nd Rd game, but this was another memorable experience

Not sure if you've listened to presser, but Zim asked Jimmy if the team embraced the weather and how UIW didn't "enjoy" it as much. That made me wonder if I'd enjoy this game as much if it'd been indoors. This weather was almost perfect to me for a Dec. game.

Their talking game stayed strong through the end though.

Strong enough to turn Killough's Cards logo cap upside down.

Recommend watching their presser. The media allowed Calzada, Killough, and Chambers to "thank" UIW staff in a manner I don't believe I've seen in any other postgame presser. Can't say I'd root for them in any game, unless their win would benefit Jacks, but they definitely put themselves out there near end of video.

Good thing we knocked out the Griz early so that MSU could bring home their first National Championship in Playoff Attendance.

Thanks for that. We see comments or data on portal players that are leaving school 3/school 4 or players that are seemingly left in the portal with no home, and Calzada is one of those. As he said, he was working in a warehouse and didn't think he'd play again. Sounds like a guy who (probably) just played his last down and is thankful for the past two years. I'm okay with his jawing, too. I watched his run at the 3:40 mark in the 4th a few times where he dropped his shoulder in preparation for the collision with Joe Ollman. Calzada really left it all out on the field.

I'm curious what the cupboard was like when GJ Kinne left two years ago for Texas State. Clint Killough is only 31 and has been presumably doing what he's done with mostly transfers. I went from roster #'s 00-12 (2 players per #) and came across 20 players that are on at least school #2. I assume that "everyone here has been told no" is at least somewhat related to the transferring. Killough himself (WR from San Antonio) initially committed to Texas Tech as a preferred walk-on before enrolling at Texas State where he redshirted his freshman year. He then went on to play 3 years at Incarnate Word from 2012-2015.

                          Appreciate the added context, peavy.

Btw, I do know the proper "there" to use. I'll blame being flustered by one of my few disappointments from yesterday.

Fans, seemingly Jacks fans to boot, on the east side who were throwing snowballs at Red the UIW mascot, the UIW sideline, and at least once between the south 20-30yd line. That's something we should all tell folks "no" about

UIW's QB - Calzada has already entered the portal with what should be 1 year of eligibility remaining.

I looked at his history and figured he didn't have any more eligibility left when I made my earlier post. This reddit thread has a breakdown in the comments since his 2019 redshirt A&M season (he's had a redshirt, covid year, and medical redshirt).

That also explains the video jake linked. His coach resurrected his career and got him some NIL $ in the process. He's going to end up at some p4 program, and his A&M-> Auburn -> warehouse -> FCS -> FBS story will get brought up a few times.
