  • FCS Championship

FCS Championship will be in Nashville in 2026 and 2027. Frisco had it through 2027, but recently announced they were going to renovate the stadium and then NCAA decided to put it out to bid.

    Meh, Nashville isn't very fun.
One hand points to campus...the other to the liquor store.

January 2026 and January 2027 games, for the '25 and '26 seasons. I've seen conflicting reports causing people to be confused.... including myself.

Nashville should be fun! It will be interesting to see how a bigger city handles the game. Frisco did do a nice job of rolling out the red carpet, with bars and restaurants all over knowing what was happening. I do think that will be lesser in Nashville. Also sounds like parking is not as prevalent around their stadium - will tailgating take a big hit? Time will tell! Here's to hoping we'll get to figure that out personally....

Seasons after will be rebid again, so back to Frisco certainly isn't out of the realm of possibilities.

I'm surprised how many SDSU fans are already telling me they're not sure if they'll go to Frisco again this year if we make it - nobody is tired yet of the Jacks making it but for a vacation spot, DFW is not high on anyone's list. Not a bad place, just not the most exciting. I think it's been a good host but Nashville is going to be way more exciting and bring more NDSU/SDSU fans back year after year. Curious how this goes and if it'll ever return to Frisco again.

I'd heard a little of this but that seems to have subsided. The change from Sunday afternoon to Monday night might be detrimental. Last year I flew out Saturday afternoon and home Sunday night.

The game in Nashville will be in the newly renovated Vanderbilt stadium., so I assume there will be tailgating nearby. The stadium will hold 30,000 so tickets should be plentiful. My wife and I spend a lot of time in Nashville. I’m sure we can “adopt,” one of the many bars on Broadway as Jack headquarters.

Looks like they have plenty of tailgating options.
