  • I watched the game live on Midco and yesterday and watched most of the game again on a Midco replay. I thought several UND players were trying to goad our players into a confrontation. Chippy crap; unjustified and even fake anger exhibited after a legitimate, hard-nosed play. What I observed reminded me of the SDSU 49-35 win in Grand Forks in 2020. In the 2020 game, I thought several UND players were clowning around and were not taking the game very seriously while on the sideline; and, when in the game, the UND players seemed to "celebrate" a good hit when they were getting their butts handed to them. At times, UND players appeared to be undisciplined and the coaches didn't seem to notice (or care?).

I wonder if by the end of the season, Bubba will join the ranks of the retired with UNI's Farley.

I thought I read somewhere, another forum perhaps, Bubba has a contract through 2026 and the buyout is significant. Retirement may be the best hope for UND to get rid of him in the near term. I for one hope they keep him a bit longer. Their program is not improving.

      • My wife and I went to the game on Saturday and our first visit to the Alerus Center. It is such a dark place. I can understand why it can be a tough place to play- even with only 3/4 capacity it got very loud in the first quarter. Even though I prefer FB outside it was nice being indoors as opposed to the cool, damp conditions outside. The UND fans we spoke with were great. One fan said to us on his way out something to the effect of "it's been a long time since someone kicked our a## like that here"

Agreed...a group of 4 of us went. Just a dark, dreary atmosphere in there. But...DJDS could take notes on their concourse, food/drink selections and number of beer/alcohol locations throughout.

Their vendor is associated with the convention center, so replicating that might not be feasible at a location that isn't linked to convention space

Believe it"s through 2027, but the buyout would reportedly be offset by any contract he'd sign elsewhere, so maybe UNI could trade a Skeletor for a Bubba

I noticed that too. I wonder if there was any inclination to consider staying.

He must have made the decision after the Murray State game, since I believe he caught a pass in that game.

He did. It was in the 3rd quarter.

Wonder who they’ll go after, possibly try and bring Freund home?
