  • Gotta give Lujan credit, finally got the tight ends involved early. Great game by him!

Only quibble was horrible kick coverage, but that will be cleaned up.

Best chance for a natty ever. Jacks play like that and they will be 2-0 vs the bison this year.

He did get back in the game. Looked like he might have been dragging the shoulder a bit.

Exactly. Got so sick of hearing that they were going to run the ball like they did on Bill & Mary.

Good. His left arm looked dead when he went out.

          • Adam Bock just said hearing all week how Montana State would run all over them motivated the Jacks and they took it personal.

            • Congratulations to the team! That was an ass kicking! They hadn’t played a complete game this year. That certainly qualifies! Play like that in Frisco and that trophy comes back to Brookings!

              Shout outs to the following:
              - The offensive and defensive lines. They dominated today and that was the biggest difference.
              - The coaching staff. Both sides had a great game plan and executed it beautifully.
              - The fans. Not sure what the attendance was but they were LOUD!
              - The Pride. Not many bands show up and play in those conditions. My lips stuck to my beer. I can’t imagine playing an instrument. Solid effort for Mr. Kessler and crew.

We Frisco bound! Time to go win it all and put the horns down!

              • The week's weather forced our bb game to today so unfortunately, we weren't able to use our tickets. Just finished watching the game on the DVR. Man is it great to have Adam Bock back playing at the amazing level he can play! Defense was awesome- the #1 rushing defense in the country! Offense ran all over them with enough passing and wrinkles to really make them pay. Semifinal game and you score td's on your first 5 possessions with all of them being 70+ yard drives. Crowd was definitely loud on the broadcast and as Superbunny said- kudos to the members of the Pride and Mr. Kessler.

THIS! All of this. Best Jacks football game I’ve ever been to. Most complete game I’ve seen us play in ages. Do it one more time in Frisco!

Haven't watched replay, but seemed like they should've been flagged for a delay of game on that play.

Stig mentioned in postgame that Gronowski suggested the sub. Sounded like Gronowski wanted Voss to get playoff "kneeldown" snap

7,195, and there were a sizable number of 'Cats fans on east side. I was afraid I was going to be on an island

Refs can call that on any team at any time, because that same scenario happens in just about every football game, momentum carries you into the QB. I thought it had to be an egregious hit to be considered "roughing" the passer. Oh well, we won handily, so it didn't matter very much

I believe Mark wanted to go back in to take the kneel down, which he did.

                            • we have such excellent pass catching weapons and it is awesome to see the offense clicking in every phase

but honestly when the other team has NO CHANCE to stop your running game, there is no need to throw. and MSU had NO CHANCE of stopping the run game today. as i said we have GREAT passing game weapons. i love to see the jankes and tucker and hiens and grono make plays in the pass game, but they would have put the same whooping on MSU today if they had thrown 10 less passes

this is the run game they have been building to all year. saved marks legs all year and let him get comfortable coming off the injury. Isaiah dealt with a bad shoulder for a lot of the year. Amar became a much better weapon and is probably still figuring it out. the O line took time to become a cohesive unit. and we had a stud TE who is a great blocker who missed half the year

today they put it all together and MSU never came close to stopping them. they took their foot off the gas after the 5th TD. MSU had less than zero answers

on the other side of the ball, MSU had some decent runs but no big plays in the run game and they can think everything would be different with chambers, but then they better look at the fact that we were a handful of plays from beating them last year in their arena without Grono and with a banged-up Isaiah

the defensive run assignments were executed nearly perfectly today. Bock is an absolute animal against the run and he makes everyone else better. and unlike last week they applied great QB pressure without over penetrating and opening up big running lanes

i can think of 3 key things that stopped their truly historically excellent running game. the first two are connected. ONE, they are a perimeter running team and TWO, the jacks D never let them get downhill quickly and never let them turn the corner well enough to have any big runs

you saw the difference today between a power oriented downhill running game with a power O Line and a power RB, and a finesse / misdirection / perimeter oriented running game.

i never thought about how the weather MIGHT impact them being able to get to the edge and turn the corner?? but i did NOT see any of their game from last week but apparently, they had NO trouble turning the corner last week playing in bad conditions so it would be ironic if they use that as an excuse after pooh poohing any comments from W and M about the field conditions last week

i am willing to think it had some impact, but the biggest factor was that the jacks D simply did a great job of filling all the interior gaps forcing the MSU run game to get stretched out and doing a great job of pursuing and swarming to the ball like they have all year. unlike last week when they blew some gap assignments for the first time all year, they were pretty much perfect today

and the other factor was that the jacks offense totally punched MSU in the face and never let them get their feet on the ground or catch their breath. they were behind the scoreboard and under pressure for almost the entire game

GREAT credit to the defense and also recognition that the offense played a part in it!!
