  • Hobo Day 2022

The weather forecast for Hobo Day 2022 continues to get better. Temp forecast is 61 and partly cloudy. Wear a coat for the parade but by game time, leave it in the car.

Our opponent is a struggling Indiana State team that is 0-4 in the MVFC and 1-6 for the season. Yesterday the Sycamores lost 21-27 to Illinois State in Terra Haute.

I’m predicting 19,000 Jacks fans in the stadium.

    Hobo Day 2022 Sycamores(1-6)

The Sycamores lose their homecoming today to Illinois St. The only victory they have is an OT home game against N Alabama. Indiana St gave the bison a though game 1 week ago. Was that a fluke?

It's the MVFC.The worst teams in this conference would be competing for championship of the OVC or NEC. Any team can win in any game. SDSU must come out to play. Even against The Trees.

We'll never hear the end of it if there aren't more folks for Hobo Day than there were for 'Yote game

i am really REALLY thinkin that we have multiple more crowds this year that top 19k, possibly even in BOTH the remaining regular season games!!, and we will break the game day record at least once and very possibly multiple times the remainder of this year

we will DEFINITELY go over 19 for hobo day

I wouldn't worry about it. USD reported 7599 fans for Dakota Days, or 83.5% of listed capacity. We need about 16,150 fans to achieve the same percentage of capacity.

Got the W in Grand Forks and now lets get the axes out and cut down some trees. I watched the 1st half of there game last week and they had issues stopping the redbirds. I think its week we can pound the rock and chew up alot of clock so our D can rest and heal.

I didnt see the new topic whoops

Not necessarily as worried about that as I would be disappointed we can't have a sellout on Hobo Day when we have an exciting, top-ranked team with multiple NFL prospects

I don't expect to see as much red in the stands Hobo Day as at the USD game. Though it may be close.

Looks like ticket sales are starting to pick up. The 4 for $60 promo appears to be working, as availability in sections 116 and 124 is diminishing quickly. Also it appears that they have designated an extra section for the students, as you are unable to purchase tickets in section 115. The only section that is still shaded dark blue is 123, which is the non-alcoholic section.

The weather forecast for Saturday continues to improve: projected high in Brookings is now 66. Can we get it higher? Tickets are still available although the numbers are shrinking quickly. One could guess that a 66-degree Hobo Day day on the last weekend of October will result in a sell-out crowd.

I just killed 15 minutes and counted dots. Looks like just under 2,000 seats available. This means we are approaching 17,500 seats sold with a little over three days to go. It didn't seem like the big push for the USD game came until Thursday/Friday so we are in good shape.
