I would think since JR is still pretty young to the coaching game, it would not be an insult or anything if they asked him to remain as DC with Eck coming back as the HC and i feel more than sure that the two of them have a good relationship so JR would probably be pretty happy to stay at his school with someone he respects coming back to take over for Stig
that said unless he gets another offer to move up, you would think Eck could be in that spot for a long time, and there would seemingly be a good chance that JR has to go someplace else at some point to get his shot at HC. i dont like to think of JR leaving. to me it just seems like he is the guy that is supposed to take this program over
for those of you who use only logic and not your heart maybe you dont see it that way? who is with me? who thinks there is a certain destiny or just something right about JR replacing Stig? i wonder and i really dont have much idea WHAT the powers that be might think?? do they think JR is ready? does he need more experience? he definitely seems to be proving himself as a coordinator but i would also guess they would want to give him a strong OC to lean on
also, i still dont think that Eric Eidsness is out of that conversation

Regardless, I'd prefer Rogers because he's performed similarly to Eck without getting as much notoriety, and I think a defensive mindset would contribute to success, both in the Valley and nationally.

i actually have always kind of liked Nielson, despite his poor decision to become HC in verm town, so i guess he might be tolerable as a sports and fashion related midco talk show talking head. does newitt know anything about fashion or is he kind of the host and nielson is the talent?? i thought maybe newitt could do a show breaking down officiating and educating fans of the midco region about rules and helping fans to be better sports through better understanding of the rules and the calls that are made

You think they'd be able to leverage a TV/media deal that would net the conference any revenue given their geographic isolation and media market shares?
Do you think existing conferences would allow this newly-created conference to be considered for playoff, or were you thinking the non-P5 conferences would opt for bowl system?
Also, let's not forget that teams like Tarleton State are planning to at least attempt that jump much sooner.
Stay in FCS regardless of what Bison do, attain success, and only transition to FBS if a conference extends the invitation and it won't compromise fiscal sustainability.

obviously the entire state of college football is in a bit of a mess at the moment, i guess college athletics in general. or at least the ncaa portion of it. that also causes me to think that level headed school and athletic department leaders are not rushing to make changes that do not show a Clear path to improving their school in some way
this is an almost endless/ infinite conversation. i will not ramble further. if there is desire for more conversation, i think we have a more appropriate thread already started elsewhere in the forum

you listed some but definitely NOT ALL the concerns
i definitely think that some fans believe (although i would say mistakenly) that moving up would be good. OR they just think that would mean they get to see the jacks play iowa and nebraska and alabama more often, which they think they would enjoy
but i just cannot imagine why the jacks would feel this is anything they NEED
i will take my own advice now and leave this conversation for a new thread or one that was already started
