Wow. Welp. To this day, I don't understand how you can "false start". It isn't ****ing hard. You don't move until the ball moves. ****ing hold hands do whatever you need to do to fix it. Nowhere did I expect the jacks to play this poorly. Doesn't even have anything to do with the Bison. The difference is NDSU is playing competently. Rabbits just said **** it when can we get back to Brookings. Anyone getting us in 1st and 15 start of every drive is probably going to have success against the Rabbits, or any time really. Oline coach has had weeks to fix it, that unit needs to get its **** together. Rabbits approached this game like they were playing a practice squad.

Waege seems to have O'Brian rattled.
Still a chance Jacks recover and right ship in 2nd half.

Regardless, this reinforces my Bison despisal.
I would say "ok" but this has been an ongoing theme since Iowa. Great. Offense needs to come out like they want to be there. So far it has looked like they just want to just check the box that they played this game. No intensity and timid play calling by offense and defense
Gotta stay on schedule and get stops in the second half. First drive by each team will likely tell us if there's a real chance of us making a comeback.

Davis sure hasn't, and the Jankes are running hard. I'm surprised Heins hasn't had more targets, but the false starts have allowed the Bison to pin their ears back, thereby limiting play selection. I'll withhold judgment until at least a couple series into this half.
As for the defense, I think they committed to limiting run, and Miller burned them a few times. Again, that could change this half.
Really wish we would go vertical in the passing game once in a while. We have virtually no deep threat because it seems they never try. A lot of LOS passes.
Either Davis is not 100% and they are trying to minimize his exposure
OR the jacks are playing this game like it would be nice to win but the most important thing is to stay healthy and get EVERYONE healthy for the playoffs
therefore refusing to overexpose Davis
because otherwise i am just handing the ball to ID 20 times or more this half
he is absolutely playing like he believes he is the best player on the field
the jacks need to give him the ball just about every down until the bison make some adjustment and then maybe hit them for a long play
