Illinois St. on schedule
Illinois State, a Division I-AA school in football, will replace Baylor on the Gophers schedule on Sept. 11.
Gophers athletic director Joel Maturi talked to Fresno State, but the Bulldogs were not available for a home game here. Baylor withdrew from the Gophers schedule even though Minnesota had played a game in Waco, Texas, as part of the contract. Maturi hopes Baylor will return the game here in the future.
Illinois State had a 6-6 record last year. Among the Redbirds' losses was 49-22 at Illinois.
