I concur with SDSUFB. I'm not sold on whether Coach Stig can take us to the next level. The Jackrabbit football program has been stuck in mediocrity for so long that it has become acceptable. No way we should have lost to Winona or UND last year.

In psychology, there's something called learned helplessness. That term embodies the mediocrity you've described above. Even the slightest deviation from a .500 season is greeted with raucous celebration. If the next level is no more than 2 to 4 inches above the current level, then SDSU is set. But the university will need to watch its knees and shins should things go any higher than that.
