GREELEY -- University of Northern Colorado senior quarterback Tony Christensen's career came to an end on Wednesday when the NCAA turned down his appeal in relation to
the number of class hours he's completed.
Christensen needed six hours to maintain what the NCAA describes as "normal academic progress" to play a fourth season. . . .
The Bears' starting quarterback position remains open, but senior Nick Hager appears to have a slight advantage over redshirt freshmen Cody Stone and T.J. Swanson. . . .
At least they caught this issue before they had to forfeit any games like in '02.
