Heard Ryan Schlieman left the team. That makes our DL a little thin. Couple of true freshman may get there shirts pulled just to have enough bodies.......

I'm excited about the practice at Howard Wood! Anyone know if this would be open to the public and the time of the practice?

Football team is practicing at Howard Wood Field today in Sioux Falls. Hope it brings a few people out to watch practice....

I heard nothing from Imming about the practice on WNAX this morning. My understanding is it runs from 11am-1pm.

This kinda goes back to the marketing thread........A little advertising might have gone a long ways in promotion of SDSU football....

I'm not sure I would want SDSU spending any money to promote a practice. Don't get me wrong, I am a big believer in advertising, but it doesn't really matter if many fans show up to watch practice, it matters if the Sioux Falls media shows up and I am sure they are very aware of the start and finish times. If fans come to the event that is just gravy and I am sure the ones that really want to be there found out the times. Bottom line, IMHO, the marketing effert is having the practice at Howard Wood in the first place.

it matters if the Sioux Falls media shows up and I am sure they are very aware of the start and finish times.  

I tried my best to watch all three sports telecasts (KDLT, KSFY, and KELO) at 6:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. unfortunately, nothing was aired and no footage shown from the practice. Not surprising considering the twins (win streak) Vikings preseason game and the State Amateur Baseball tournament and American Legion World Series are going on this weekend.

On the plus side, KELO Land had a nice story on the 10 p.m. news about the new dorm Caldwell Hall on campus and the renovations and additions at the Student Union. The Union looks impressive.
