Not to be a KillJoy about the work footballfan has done lately but there are a few corrections.

Nik Aamlid is no longer on the team. He has a bum shoulder that will not allow him to play any more.

Paul Keizer is now an O-Lineman and will have a number in the 70's somewhere (I believe he wore 72 at the Spring Game)

Thanks for the updates JackTwice, I appreciate it. I knew Nik had a bad shoulder, but didn't know if he would return. Keizer will be at either guard or center this year. I am just going off of last years roster. I appreciate all the help and updates that can be provided.

Funny enough one of Neal's High School coaches was Tim Hawkins who punted for SDSU from 86-90. Tim had 5 punts blocked in a game against Montana in 1989. Hopefully Neal won't have to punt that many times this year!

Willie Jones had shoulder surgery, and there was concern he could miss the season. But his dad says he is doing fine, and should be ready to go in August.

Some more trivia...

Name the QB of our last NCC championship (1963) team.

I was on campus at the time and I am stumped. Dean Koester was qb maybe in 60-61-62. Those were the years he played and he may not have been a starter all three years.

There were only three years of NCAA eligibilty back then. Ron Meyer graduated in 1965, I believe and his years of eligibilty would have been 62-63-64. It has to be Ron Meyer. Ron was a very good baseball player as I recall as well as QB. To duplicate SiouxFalls Jack, and answer in Jeopordy style" Who is Ron Meyer"?

I guess you were right, I was thinking it was Dean Koster, but his last year was 1962.
