I look for Ryan Berry and Ryan Crawford to really push for that position. Ryan did run a little in high school. And all these QB's are good size at 6-3.

Does anyone know anything about Redshirt Freshman quarterback Reed Burckhardt ?
Which one of those mentioned above are the better pure passer? Andy was rarely used in the passing role last year although primarily by design and not necessarily as a result of his inability to throw. Anyone have any idea on this?

From what I am hearing......Andy is the most ready, he is a big, strong armed qb with a cannon of an arm. Berry may be a more pure passer, needs some time and I think Crawford simply needs some experience and see what he has.....

Andy looked pretty impressive at all of the home games. Didn't make to any of the away contests. In my opinion he has all of the tools to be great. You need to have three deep at QBACK position. Looks like we have three very good ones!

We talked about QB's, running game, but where we may have lost most on offense (outside of QB) is in the receiving and return dept. We have Josh Davis and Chris Molitor coming back but outside of that what do you see ?

          LOST RECEIVING
Brian Janecek  52 receptions   710 yards 6 tds
Solomon Johnson  36 receptions     357 yards   1 tds
Ryan Lowry 11 receptions    105 yards     1 tds
Greg Peitz  5 receptions     60 yards    1 tds
Lost Total.... 104 receptions  1232 yards   9 tds

          LOST ALL PURPOSE YARDS
          Brian Janecek            710 yards    64.5 Avg/G
          Solomon Johnson   357 yards   39.6 Avg/G

            Re: Official Countdown Thread

I believe with JD and Chris Moliter coming back as our main wide outs we are in good shape. JaRon Harris is one of the fastest players on the team and has put on some weight and will be a very big physical receiver. Also Micah Johnson is a very fast, talented receiver. I think we are in very good shape. Also with several good TE it looks good.

              Re: Official Countdown Thread

I'm looking forward to seeing JaRon Harris on the field this year. Micah Johnson seemed very timid when he got in the game last year. Wide reciever should be a strong part of the team.

I agree that Micah seemed timid.......I think with another year of experience and some confidence he will do fine....I think we look good at receiver....

I think JaRon is going to really impress.......

Is the Wagner kid a TE or a WR? 6'7" is one tall guy on the football field.

I'm excited about SDSU football and the NCAA DI tourney (our tourney) hasn't even started yet. This may be the best thing about the move to DI. Granted, if the BB teams was still playing I'd be a lot less focused on FB.
