    Re: UW-La Crosse

Why spread 4 receivers and then hand off?  Watson just carried for 10 behind the line, 4 with the spread.  Makes no sense.

I'll be more specific, run the ball behind a run formation and win the FB game convincingly.

Watson, up the middle for 30 yards.  Gained 70 on the ground that drive.  Its not that tough a game.  Take what the D gives you and the better team wins.

      Jacks 28-13.

Stop them here, run the ball, end the game.  I've got a movie to watch.

            Attendence 5737 according to WANX

I think the Watson/Koenig combo will be good this year. With the start of the 4th they have combined for 240 yards and 4 tds.

            Anthony Watson 15-183  3
            Cory Koenig     7-57   1

Defense is giving up way too many yards and big plays.

                Re: UW-La Crosse

5,700 plus at the game. A little disappointing I would say. I suspect there may be another 500 plus still sitting, standing, lying, drinking, in the "backyard". I'd like to see 8,000 next week.

Koenig 25 yard run for a TD.

Jacks put them away, 35-13. The rest is just cake.

Impressed with the kicking game. Several KO's into the endzone, PATs were easy, nice punting as expected.

Not much of a game to gauge things. I hope after this year we don't schedule any more DII or lower teams. With the number of scholarships we have DII teams shouldn't compete with us.

Nice break on a sure TD for LaCrosse, dropped the ball or this thing tightens. Early season lapse for the Jacks I hope. Defense needs to prove itself.

I don't expect much from Valpo next week. Should be an easy win for the Jacks again.

Yea so far their passing game is hurting us their 2 QB's have  295 yards to our 93. we have 0 sacks

                  John Schumann 15 of 22 242 yards 0 in 1 td longest 64 yards
                  Steve Tennies 4 of 8 53 yards 1 int 0 tds long 25 yards

Defense has got to figure this out after next weekend every game is tough and we will not get away with this.

JaRon Harris 50 yd pass from Reed Burckhardt 42-13.

Final score 42-13 there were some pretty close guesses as to the final score on here.

My brother was back from active duty for the night so I wasn't able to actually go inside for the game. I did drive by to check the scoreboard/video display out. I thought it looked pretty nice. The sound system is a new feature we are able to supply with our customers and it sounded very good.
Over? Did you say "over"? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!--Bluto--

I was at the game, scoreboard looked and sounded good, although there was some REALLY cheesy music spots.
The real concern I have is Kardoes performance, again. Just as in his play last year where it became VERY obvious that he does not have any passing ability (to OUR team, that is), he has once again shown very early that he is not the answer. What is Stig thinking sticking with this guy? ??? For the good of this and future Rabbit teams, wouldn't it be a much better idea to go with a QB that gives us a legitimate threat to have balance? Even the tosses that we completed mostly should have been interceptions by the Eagles. NOT IMPRESSED AGAIN...STILL. >

Never a game, not even close.
I may have been close on the score but I thought we'd win even more convincingly. I'll reserve specific judgements for now but we'll have to be one hell of a lot better to compete with Montana in 2 weeks. If not, we'll get embarassed.

Quick note from the game. It was too close at times, but it was their big pass plays and a few turnovers that kept it close. Good job by the coaches to get some some second string experience, but still keep the lead safe.

As for Kardoes, he has a serious gun for an arm, many dropped passes that were right on the numbes. He was a bit jittery and should do just fine. It is a new offense and I expect them to do much better next week and hopefully put up 50. He is one heck of a scrambler and should have tucked and run a few more times. Not bad for his first start, but does need to step it up for the DI games.

I'm just sitting down to listen to the WNAX internet feed...went to the Royals game instead (don't ask), but before I did I downloaded a program Download Studio which lets you (easily) save a Windows Media stream to disk.
