It was an interesting week. No one picked the Northern Iowa win over New Hampshire.  Jacks Twice, Dakota Kid and Rabbitlivinginverm all picked the other three games correctly to lead for the week.  The overall standings for the playoffs have evryone who has picked this week with 4 or 5 misses in total with the result that 7 people are tied for first among the ones that have picked both weeks.  Jacksbacker still leads based on just the first week selections.

If the prognosticators on this board are right, it will be Texas State and Appalachian State playing for the national championship next week.  Everyone who had their picks in by noon today picked these two to win.  Here are the predictions in so far.  As usual I will add any others that come in before game time.

One more week for the playoffs. For next week you get to predict whether you think we will play the defending national champions next year (If UNI wins) or if we for the seond straight year will be playing the runnersup (Montana was the runners up last year). In either case, it speaks well of the level of competition the Jacks will be playing again next year.

I only picked UNI because I want to see us play the defending national champion next season. Once Texas St. beat Georgia Southern, I had Texas State winning it all, so I was suprised when UNI won.

Look at it whis way, if Appy wins you pick up a game on everyone else. Perhaps there is something you know that we don't.

I agree with SiouxFallsJack that there is probably some "homer" like attitudes in this weeks picks, including mine. Howver, I think the Gateway is probably a better conference than the Southern top to bottom therefore I picked UNI. I also think they are on a hot streak right now.

The D I-AA season is over and here are the results for the pronosticators for the playoff season. Jacks Twice and NorCalJack had the most correct picks at 10. USDSU tied them on percentage at 67%.

I hope you enjoyed this first year of competition. It will be back again next fall. In the meantime, join in the basketball picks if you haven't been.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year's to all. For Rabbit74, it is off to Missouri for Christmas and then on to Alaska late Christmas Day through New Years.
