Glad to see the picks still coming along.

I'm thinking it might a good idea to add a fan's thoughts weekly to the 'roundtable' section of the column. If there was interest to have a 2 to 6 sentence writeup I would love to add that next season along with the beat writers who already participate.

Chris, this sounds like a great idea. Are you looking for a different fan each week or one person to participate every week?

I am sure we could come up with the participant(s) either way from the group involved in the predictions this year.

This is BIG guys!

WOW, 3 first round games on TV
Must be the lucky RABBITS foot thingy working for 1AA

I've never seen as much proposed TV coverage for the 1AA playoffs and its not just ESPN2 as I recall. We usually get the Nat.Championship & a few scattered.

I hope ALL the games are not blowouts but give non 1aa fans a good glimps at what we're about.

I really want to see 11-0 HAMPTON out of the MEAC.

GSU was up 35-16 in the 4th quarter then Texas St. went wild on offense and shut GSU down. It was a fun game to watch.

The frist week of the DI-AA playoffs are complete and the results are in for the predictors.  There are still 2 teams each in the playoffs from the Southern, Atlantic 10 and Gateway conferences and one from the Great West and the Southland Conferences. The Big Sky and Patroit each went 0-2 this week to be eliminated, the MEAC and Ohio Valley went 0-1 and  the Sothern lost one of its three teams and the Southland one of its two.

Jacks02's only miss was picking Hampton over Richmond.  Rabbit74's ony miss was picking Georgia Southern over Texas State.  No one missed more than three games so everyone still has a chance of winning by the end of the playoffs.  Here are the standings at this point.
