Re: NDSU to play Georgia Southern

I think that was the reason for changing the offense the way the coaches did (to get Kardoes the chance to run the ball). I am sure with the injuries he sustained they had to cut back on some of the things they wanted to do with Andy last year.

Speaking of Andy, I heard he was having some surgery this offseason. Anyone know how he came out?

I would rather get their veer than the built in excuse. We would have completely shut that offense down.

        Yea Right

The only way to beat the old Spread Option was to outscore it because you sure as he** wouldn't have shut it down.

Well we might not have shut it down, but it really hasn't done much for you recently. Teams with a full 63 scholarships have kept your team from winning anymore championships. Football is alot like nature, teams will eventually adapt to anything that is thrown at them. Your "spread option" being an example.

Kind of reminds me of the evolution of NDSU at the DII level. Absolute dominance when they had the scholarship advantage and some novel strategy, back towards the pack when others caught up. Doesn't take anything away from what they either team has accomplished and for that they deserve credit.

It was the defense not the offense that let us down

they never caught up to our offense

2006 - 49 points per game AVERAGE, 430 rushing AVERAGE, 90 passing average

500 total offense, 49ppg doesnt sound like anyone has cought up

we've had those types of states for the last 25 years!

last year around 36ppg but still not bad

our last Head Coach had 2 flaws 1 he lost the games in the 3rd and 4th (played it conservative 2 his DEFENSIVE SYSTEM stunk up the place
