North Dakota State’s request to get into the Mid-Continent Conference is being heard as far as California.
That’s because NDSU’s acceptance into the league would help stabilize the Great West Football Conference, of which California Poly and California Davis are members. The Mid-Con does not have football, which would leave NDSU no choice but to remain in the Great West.
“That would be a positive thing for the Great West,” said Cal Poly Athletic Director Alison Cone. “People need a conference for all sports.” . . . (read more)
