MHS varsity football team named the outstanding 11-man team

Madison High School's varsity football team was named the outstanding 11-man team by the South Dakota State University coaching staff at the SDSU Team Football Camp July 17-19 in Brookings.
Defensive end Eric Threadgold and defensive tackle Ben Bundy were also named to the All-Camp Team.
"Being chosen for the All-Camp Team is an outstanding accomplishment for these two young men, considering there were over 230 individuals at the camp," said Tom Milne, MHS football coach. . . .
Team camps are an intense atmosphere, said Milne.
"Participating teams are scrimmaging each other without the luxury of a lot of practice time," he said.
Madison scrimmaged Minnesota teams from Pipestone, New Ulm, Cathedral and 5A St. Paul-Arlington, as well as Pierre and Sibley-Ocheyedan, Iowa. . . . (read more)
