The American Express did a great job on the article. Maybe Stu could learn from this article. He has a ton of stuff in the print edition to day about Augies near win. A feature on Desmond Allison the former starter at Kentucky in basketball and now a receiver at USD. The Jacks game story is from staff reports and on page 5. I guess its not news, just celebrating a super bowl win two weeks in a row.

I think our Jacks deserve more. :-[

I thought Southern was rated when we beat them and also UC Davis last year?? Maybe even NDSU that year?

          Incredible.

Here it is Monday morning and I can find no indication from the Argus web site that the SDSU-McNeese State game ever occurred.

          No story.

          No score.

          Nothing.

Impressive is all I can say. 14 points unanswered in the second half. Excellent line play, great special teams. Clear indications that the coaching staff has made adjustments and talented players have responded. These kids and the coaching staff deserve a lot of credit. Now, we need to come out in droves to support this team as they return to CAS to take on a tough Central Arkansas team. This will be a statement game for the Jacks.

All true, and all of which is why I'm so bitterly commenting on the ineptitude of the State's Largest Newspaper (at least the web site).

Sadly (?) I have guests coming in next weekend and won't be able to attend the UCA game. Somebody yell extra-loud and give the cowbell and extra clang for filbert on Saturday.

On to UCA! Beat the Bears! Go Rabbits!

Also Nicholls was 24th last week when we beat them.

I know it's been said over and over, but man the Argus sucks. I've been waiting 3 days to read an article about the game. See, there are native SDans that live outside the state that still have an interest in what is going on back "home". Thanks to the Argus, my SD news comes from friends and relatives. By the way, the new website format is great...for confusing anyone who may be interested in finding an article.

Ok, I'll let you have that. I don't think we have beat anyone about #20.

That being said, I see McNeese dropping out of the top 25 now and they were definetly over-rated. Not to detract from the Win though.

If UCA were to "upset" the Jacks, I could see them in the top 25 following.

"To date" being the key words here. My level of enthusiasm has returned to that pre the UW-L game. I wasn't able to listen to the entire McNeese game but things must be clicking. Not sure what happened on the first goal line try but we recovered. Maybe the leadership I have been hoping for is coming.

I was sitting in a hotel room watching Iowa get spanked and flipping over to ESPN to catch the ticker. Meanwhile, I had the clock radio tuned to WNAX where I could pick up an occasional word and was aware that we trailed 17-6 and had fumbled on the way to an earlier score. Then, we were stuffed and had to settle for a FG, 17-9 with about 8 minutes to play.

Then, I see UCA spanks USD, which is nice, followed by the score that made my night, S. Dakta St. 20 McNeese 17. I put my jeans back on, donned my SDSU cap and headed for the hotel lobby/bar to do a little bragging. Needless to say, most everyone had red on as they returned from the Husker game. Several Creighton guys and some Vermillion people did recognize the hat and asked questions. Another proud day as a Jackrabbit fan.

I think they have been put at #25 on at least one of the D1-AA polls already. So, here comes our chance to knock another one off the poll.
