The second half was more like the type of game I expected compared to the first half. I don't like all the fumbles and INTs, but will happily take the win. I'd say with the result of the NDSU game, we are probably going into the game as 2 TD underdogs. I like it that way. I think NDSU believes they are going to roll us.

I was hoping we could make it more convincing but I'll take it. Man, I hope we can make a good showing next week. The Fargo Dome scares me. I'm sure the team's as fired up as you can get. Congrats Jacks!

And they have every right in the world to think that.
I agree with you, MJA. By most measures, the Bison have to be favored and I think they'll realize that. That's a great position for this SDSU team to be in...two years ago at CAS, the Bison were favored too and that may have been the best finish to a college football game that I have personally witnessed.
We went into this game favored. We seem to play much better when we're the underdog.
It's going to be a great matchup in the Dome and I've got my tickets.

As long as the NDSU team doesn't scare you. No reason to feal anything but desire right now. Let NDSU think what they want but make sure we know who we are going in there.
As I see it, we are a team that hasn't lost in 8 weeks with a balanced offense and one solid defense as well as a great punter and FG kicker. NDSU can't ask for a better challenger for the GWFC title and the Dakota Marker.

We do not see things as they are, we see things as we are.
Can't wait to head up to Fargo next week. Yes, it is going to be a tough game for the Jacks, but with the type of season they have had, the tougher the game the better. Hope we have a good showing up there. I'll be heading up with 6 other guys and believe me, we'll be loud!!!
You have to give credit to SUU. Last year this game would have been over by half. They came out fighting after halftime and didn't give up till the end.
Now on to Fargo! I might have to find a way to get up there.

(When Jacks up 14-0 and get fumble recovery, then Watson run and we go up 21-0): Great run and great job of blocking.
(At halftime, what talked about?) We pointed out number of times this year, specifically in our conference, people come back. I challenged them...on how they play the second half.
(Two-play drive, makes it 21-14...team could have hanged its head) That's football and our job as coaches is to calm players down, make corrections etc.
(11-play drive, Wagner pass reception, makes it 28-14). For some reason, certain kinds of games kids play a little harder and we challenged our kids to respond and they did. Huge (reception).
(28-21 with SUU score...Jacks get fumble recovery just before it goes out of bounds...Douglass hits 53 yd fg...what was the decision at that point) 14-1 decision and I was the one who decided. Called time out because pressure was on him (Douglass)...Parker knows he can make it...he really kicked it well, could have been a lot further.

I agree JMD. I just like being real about it. I can be a rube and still be realistic. The possibility is really exciting but is next Saturday finially going to be the day that the Jacks football team really believes that they can go into anywhere and win a football game...? I hope so. There won't be any crazy comebacks next week. We gotta be ready to go.
Their quarterback is a winner. Gotta give him a lot of credit. Love to compete against guys like that who play that hard.
(These conditions, tough place to play) We're a good football team and a lot of the time we showed that.
(Watson) He came out and said he was going to have a great game ... couple times he danced a little too much but he did a really nice job.
(Kardoes) He did well, led the team well. He said in the lockerroom (after the game) we're gonna play better (referring to NDSU)
(Hoogeveen and Kubesh being banged up...) fun to get both guys back, when a big hit,... they made really big hits.
(Offense 34 minutes) Good job controlling the football.
(Future, NDSU) We're gonna enjoy this a bit, watch the film, ... win 7 in a row after 0-3 start, we're gonna enjoy this a while.
(One of the more fun teams?) Every year special but this team is special, the hard work, treat for a coach. REally appreciate them... team effort.
(7 win season, high water mark in D1 transition) We can't forget where we started, 7 of our opponents ranked in polls... our team ranked in top 25 (during the season)...lot of special things happened this season.
