The Special Teams Player of the Week Parker Douglass kicked a Great West-best 53-yard field goal in South Dakota State's 31-21 win over Southern Utah, setting up the border battle for the league title next week.

Douglass, a junior from Columbus, Neb., converted all five of his kick attempts in the Jackrabbits’ 31-21 victory, making all four extra-point tries and adding a 53-yard field goal in the fourth quarter that provided the final margin of victory. He also kept the SUU return game in check with four touchbacks on kickoffs.

The award was the second of the season for Douglass, who also earned GWFC Special Teams Player of the Week honors after SDSU's victory at McNeese State (La.) on Sept. 30.

SDSU, ranked 19th in NCAA Division I-AA, will play for the Great West title Saturday night at fourth-ranked North Dakota State in Fargo. Kickoff is slated for 6 p.m. at the Fargodome.
