I love how one of the voters gave their #1 vote to the Bison in the Sports Network Poll even after ASU won it all. Now that's making a statement!! ;D

Not sure why Poly is ahead of us, but oh well.

Suspect it has to do with the quality of the opponents Poly lost to, rather than who State lost to.

Very happy for the recognition given that we played three non-DI opponents (UCA counts as a non-DI this year.)

Ahead of McNeese in AGS poll, but behind in TSN poll.

Regarding NDSU's lone #1, nobody else would have been close because all the rest were resolved on the field.

Heres a new link that shows both DI leagues ranked together.
SDSU finished #92 in the combined ranking and #10 in DIAA.

But behind the Gridiron Classic (non-schollies) San Diego and Monmouth, but ahead of several play-off teams? I don't think so!

Those ratings are pretty goofy and meaningless. Does anyone seriously think SDSU would have beaten Michigan State? Iowa State? A 1 in 100 fluke game maybe.

Definitely an imperfect system, as most are. Thats why I have always favored playing the games.

Both Cal Poly and McNeese State ended their regular seasons with wins. McNeese even made the playoffs. Both reasons why they are ranked ahead.

Anyways they are rankings. Just because you lose to a team doesn't necessarily make you a better team. That is why they are called upsets and the games are played.
