    Defensive Backs 2007

    I guess if you look purely at the depth chart from 2006 this is what the 2007 lineup will look like in the defensive backfield. I'm sure competition this spring and summer will dictate who starts in the fall.

    LCB-Brock Gentile SR
    SS-Jimmy Rogers SO (Will he become a linebacker)
    FS-Britton Gouch JR
    RCB-Tyler Koch SR

    Here are the rest of the DB's not including the incoming freshman who I assume will be redshirted.

    Joseph Blackman SO
    Brock Campbell JR
    Justin Horn JR
    Glen Fox SO
    Conrad Kjerstad SO
    Devin Pruett RS or did he play and get hurt and thus is a Sophmore?
    Tyler Koch-SR
    Adam Fritz-JR
    Nash Simet-JR

    Anyone have some insight who may have the inside track to getting on the field opening the season.

    I do believe the plan is to have Jimmy Rogers at some hybrid linebacker/safety position.

    I would look at Brock Campbell as the lead for the FS position unless he hasn't fully recovered from his splenectomy.

    Has Fox been switched back to Defense again? I thought he was switched to WR last year.

      When I met Cole from Georgia, I was told that he was going to have a good shot at starting right away.
