Re: Pride won't play at November games?
Here's how it looks from the outside looking in:
SDSU--the university--doesn't care enough about their football team to have their marching band at the late-season football games. So, should we be surprised when the attendance drops off late in the season. Why should fans (many of whom drive for hours to attend the games) bother to bundle up and sit for three or four hours in a chilly November South Dakota afternoon, when the school's own band won't do it?
This decision reflects EXTREMELY poor judgment and/or planning on the part of the SDSU administration. McKinney's decision should have been overturned by his dean, or failing that by the President.
The most distressing thing for me is that the SDSU administration either doesn't know what this situation looks like to the wider world outside Brookings, or they just don't care.
