Jacks need to do whatever with Stig and Bishop to make him a Jack. He needs a full ride and let him play both. Need to keep the true generational athletes in state, he is one.

Lincoln Boetel, DB from Harrisburg with an offer. Lincoln has been putting up some solid athletic testing numbers over the past 4 months. His dad Mike (pretty sure Mike is his dad) played at SDSU.

Harrisburg is loaded with talent, especially the class of 2022. Jacob Knuth is, imo, the best QB in the state not named Chase Mason. Offensive lineman, Ethan Headlee, should be a familiar name, as both of his brothers played at USD.

Did the Jacks get an OL commit ? Eck tweet says that the 605 Hogs just got better.

Ethan Eilers from West Burlington, IA. Although I never saw him announcing his commitment, his Twitter bio says SDSU commit.

                Here's a Week 1 recap of some commits/local recruits.

Reece Burckhard (commit): Started at OT and DE. Held his own at right tackle and was constantly in the backfield on defense. I believe he was recruited to play TE, but at 6'8 he has the frame to play tackle. AC lost 28-21 to SF Washington, in a very exciting game. Also of note, SF Washington has a sophomore, Kael Miedema, starting at LT who is listed at 6'9 310. Keep an eye on him for the future.

Regan Bollweg (commit): Pierre continued their dominance with a 37-0 win. Regan had 90+ receiving yards.

Levi Vanden Bos (commit): Finished with 7 tackles in a 20-10 loss.

Ja'Quez Cross (commit): Filled the stat sheet with 3 receiving TD's and 1 rushing TD, as well as an INT and FR in a 29-28 win.

Chase Mason (offer): Threw a TD early, but sustained a knee injury and never returned to the game. Sounds like he'll be OK, though.

Angel Johnson (offer): Caught a TD pass.

Tyler Feldkamp (offer): Started both ways at WR/DB. Had a long punt return that led to a field goal for the first score. Soon after, Tyler took a a bubble screen 50+ yards for a TD. Also had an INT that sealed the game.

Lincoln Boetel (offer): Had an INT and several tackles in a 63-7 blowout.

I didn’t know Feldkamp had an offer from SDSU? Only offers I had seen he had were from NSIC schools.

Not sure how accurate it is, but Jacks are mentioned as "recruiting" him for FB here.

Appreciate this update. It helps distract me from the Twins' rather dismal road trip (although Thielbar was great today).

Where are some of the commits from? I get Burkhart is from Aberdeen and Regan is from Pierre. The others are just names and when you don’t follow high school, you are lost. I heard at breakfast on Saturday that Brookings High School has two transfers from the state of Minnesota. Apparently these two have an eye on a SDSU scholarship. Brookings beat Huron which isn’t saying much and they rated third in AA.

There are a couple of verbals that haven't been publicly announced yet. They are nice gets for this class.

Thanks a bunch Westside! With a surname like Vandenbos, it is not surprising to see Hull Iowa is home. Got to be a Bulldog tip. Thank You Bulldog. Keep sending those great players. Other names are interesting such as the Arkansas player. Who on our staff has this connection? Did Strong help on this one? Four FBS offers very impressive.

UPDATE: Despite walking around the sideline after his injury, Chase has torn his ACL and is out for the season. Hopefully he has a speedy recovery.
