Hearing there could be a few more trickling in before signing day.
I really love how this class has turned out. I was a bit worried that COVID would negatively impact recruiting with no camps and less campus visits, but it seems like business as usual for the most part. Seems like there is a lot of versatile ATH commits. WestSide, are you able to share any insight on what positions the commits are projected to play? Guy like Hilton, Swoger, Bollweg and Durrance could play multiple positions imo.

    He verballed to Central Michigan.

If I remember right he put up some big time numbers at the Riggs Combine his sophomore year. Had some early attention then never really took it to the next level on the field. Good athlete though, I hope he can find a way to help us win!

Just saw a tweet from Marcus Morgan that he has committed to Iowa to play baseball.

Given the circumstances, you had to figure that this was going to happen.

Bryce Lance WR from Marshall to NDSU. We had an offer out at one time, but have had a lot of WR commits.

Cade looks to have an amazing arm, size and pocket presence. I see one of his receivers is going to Wisconsin. Nice to be into a new recruiting area (Ohio) at a school that produces a lot of talent. The Iowa quarterbacks either looking at other options or took too long to commit!

Cade Rice, QB verbals to SDSU.

I watched an interview with Scott Frost coach of Nebraska and he indicated due to the pandemic they have focused more on the region for recruiting. They have also experienced a lack of retention with south Florida athletes and need to focus more on the person and so those that would thrive at Nebraska and less on the athlete. Not being able to bring recruits in has pushed many schools to take a regional recruiting approach and it may work out for the best in many instances. We have definitely seen this at SDSU for 2021. It appears USD with lack of success in the region has had to go further out.

Yeah, I think that is certainly a factor in this class. The roster is obviously changing and just because a senior said they wanted to come back for a 6th year in September doesn't mean they actually will next fall (not saying this is the case). It honestly is super hard to know because of how scholarships are split or given for 3 years or 2 years. I don't have an answer for that.
