That is way more embarrassing than any loss. Good to see the town and fanbase forget about the team.

Jacks didn't help themselves in increasing attendance by losing to NDSU and today at home.

Yes a reasonable estimate. It is getting colder.

Hard to get plays down field when there is no time to throw. This is not a great pass blocking line. When the run game is stagnant this offense can't do much.
Consider me a Heide "homer," but I can recall at least three examples of him stepping up in pocket when pass pro deteriorated (not counting the additional time he did so and passed when he was beyond LOS).

Yes, the fumble and pick were freshman mistakes, but he's shown promise on multiple occasions.

Heide is fine, but we can't ask him to win a game for us at this stage in his career. We just collapsed and couldn't recover, and he isnt going to be a guy that can dig us out of a hole yet. As mentioned before, we aren't equipped for a come-from-behin without J'bore.

Highly disappointed in attendance for military appreciation. Maybe Athletics can do outreach at VA for extra tickets folks purchase with season ticket renewals??

What's a little unnerving is we don't know if Gibbs can do it either. He hasn't been in the situation either. We have two young QBs with no real history to lean on.

                        Re: GDT: ISU Redbirds

I think some people need to take a step back off the ledge. Yes this loss hurt and took away our chances at a top 4 seed but if we come back and get a win next week we should still get a top 8 seed. The defense did just about as good as could be expected with the the amount of turnovers and where the turnovers were. The offense struggles but Heide showed flashes of what he can do. Some of the throw and pocket awareness he had today were outstanding but on the other hand some of the plays he showed he was a freshman.
I was hoping our defense would be good enough and heide would be serviceable to not lose the rest of the year but we also have to remember he was the 5th QB on the depth chart to start spring ball and he is only in his second career start. There will be many more growing pains but the sky is not falling we will have our work cut out for us next week but then finish with USed to finish strong going into the playoffs.
As for attendance ya it was piss poor and it will be piss poor the rest of the year but it gets old reading about people complain about it in here and talk about a dome. There wouldn't be anymore people there because the tickets would be so damn expensive no one would go anyway. I don’t know what the answer is but I know it’s not complaining about it on here especially since the majority of the people on here are the people at the game anyway.

                        end rant

Not being #4 could be a blessing in disguise.
Now you have to play more and win, but depending on how the bracket all works out, it may work in your favor.

I just keep telling myself that we are still a top 8 seed after losing the best QB in school history. For all the negativity right now, we are still in a good spot.

Disagree. Anytime you cost yourself a bye week and a guaranteed home game in round 2, itnisnt good. And the likelihood that we wouldn't have been fed to Fargo in round 2 as an unseeded team is low.

Also disagree with the folks saying that if we win out a top 8 seed is still likely. It isn't. Had Weber and Sac state lost today, I'd agree that it was still probable with a 9-3 record. Bit the Wildcats and the Hornets didn't lose today.

                              NDSU and JMU won.

Weber and UNI won or were winning

                              Sac State won

                              Montana Won

                              Central Arkansas lost

                              Furman won

                              UNH lost

                              Nova won

                              MSU won

If Montana beats Weber next week, both are seeds. If Sac State wins out, they have a seed, along with NDSU and JMU. If furman wins out, they have a seed. ISUr will be in the seed cove if they win out, and they'll have the head to head over us and get it before we do. If Montana State wins out, theyll have a top 10 win (and maybe top 5 win) over montana. The bobcats might get in over us too.

Today's loss was very costly and likely will cost us a seed barring chaos ahead of us.

Let see if we can beat uni before we start worrying about a seed.
